Investment Manager Regulation Operations Specialist – MiFID II – London
Do you have 2 – 3 years of experience in MiFID reporting? Are you looking for an opportunity to expand your skills in a small and dynamic team at a global investment management firm?
We are seeking a skilled Regulation Operations Specialist to deliver regulatory reporting and exception management for MiFID II transaction reporting. You will be responsible for supporting the firm’s regulatory reporting obligations, requiring a sound understanding of the MiFID regulatory reporting requirements, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders.
This London-based role requires office attendance 5 days a week.
You will be responsible for daily control execution, manual reporting when necessary, and the effective resolution of exceptions. You will have opportunities to contribute to projects, such as providing input on requirements and supporting testing processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor the firm’s transaction reporting obligations, including monitoring and processing of MiFID II trade and transaction reporting breaks and resubmissions.
- Assist with the documentation and implementation of processes and procedures for monitoring compliance across transaction reporting regimes.
- Assist with the documentation of business requirements, working with key stakeholders to deliver change and carry out UAT and post-production validations.
- Assess on a continuous basis transaction reporting risks, and introduce or enhance the regulatory reporting control framework as required.
- Build and manage MI and reporting processes to track control failures and resolution times.
- Assist with the resolution of failed, inadequate or missing controls.
- Remain current on the regulatory reporting landscape.
- Ensure the Operations department is fully compliant with regulatory requirements at all times.
What are we looking for?
- The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in MiFID compliance and reporting, with a solid understanding of its regulatory requirements.
- Relevant experience in a regulatory reporting role with a proven understanding of reporting obligations and their impact on Operations.
- Exposure to MiFID regulatory reporting.
- Good knowledge of financial instruments across equities, fixed income, and commodities.
- Able to prioritise in a fast-moving, high-pressure, constantly changing environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a range of stakeholders.
- Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of SQL, Alteryx & Tableau.
