Job Description

ERP Consultant

A little bit about us

We are a boutique finance transformation and technology consultancy that has grown rapidly from five employees to over 120 in less than five years. Our ambitious organisation combines a structured approach with a positive, inclusive, and open working environment, enabling us to serve a diverse range of global clients from our offices in London, New York, Singapore and Sydney. We are passionate about improving finance functions and the value they create for the organisations we partner with.

Would you like the opportunity to help lead us through our next stage of growth? Would you like to work with market-leading technologies across finance? We are looking for an Associate Consultant, Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our team.

What will you be doing?

As a consultant at VantagePoint, you’ll play a central role in the successful delivery of client projects, whether leading end-to-end implementations, owning specific workstreams, or supporting discovery and advisory engagements. You’ll act as a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders, blending technical expertise with an ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions.

You’ll work across a range of finance-oriented solutions – from reporting, planning, and close to treasury, risk, and compliance – and will have the chance to both deepen your technical skills and stretch into advisory work when opportunities arise.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of projects and serving as the primary client contact for your workstreams
  • Supporting the scoping and mobilisation of new engagements alongside senior colleagues
  • Designing and delivering high-quality finance technology solutions (reporting, planning, close, treasury, GRC, ESG, and beyond)
  • Translating client requirements, existing processes, and spreadsheets into coherent solution designs and implementation documentation
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and providing architectural and technical leadership to project teams
  • Supporting or leading data integration and migration activities
  • Participating in (and sometimes leading) testing, deployment, and training workshops
  • Developing model documentation and client-facing deliverables tailored to different audiences
  • Providing candid feedback and timely updates to clients and internal teams
  • Actively contributing to team development, knowledge sharing, and building our methodologies

A summary of the kind of person we’re looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Analytics, or similar is preferred
  • Experience in consulting or implementation roles within finance, audit, SOX controls, risk, treasury, or related areas
  • Strong technical toolkit – advanced Excel, with SQL (or similar) as a plus; exposure to finance systems or integration tools desirable
  • A professional, diligent, and client-centric approach in all interactions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complexity
  • A desire to work hands-on with clients across multiple industries, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach
  • The ability to think outside the box and bring fresh perspectives
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, from analysts to CFOs
  • A genuine team player who cares about representing VantagePoint in the best possible way

Our values

  • We listen, we hear, we plan, we act
  • We take pride in even the small things
  • We give everyone a platform for growth
  • We take ownership for our wins and losses
  • We empower people to strive for more, challenge, and take risks
  • We are passionate about building strong partnerships
  • We think holistically to deliver tangible value
  • We have fun at work because it makes us better at what we do

What’s in it for you?

In addition to being part of a boutique consultancy with big ambitions, you’ll receive an attractive salary and a significant benefits package, including:

  • Employer pension contribution of up to 10%
  • Performance bonus, increasing with length of service
  • Wellbeing allowance or gym membership
  • Travel-to-work expenses
  • Private healthcare
