Job Overview
As an Engagement Manager (EM) at VantagePoint, you will oversee the successful delivery of client projects across our transformation portfolio, from technical implementations to strategic advisory work. You will manage project delivery end to end including financials, resourcing and governance, ensuring engagements are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. You will help implement VantagePoint’s new project governance framework and contribute to our ongoing delivery excellence initiative, driving consistency & continuous improvement across all engagements.
You will take ownership of account management and customer success, building strong client relationships, managing expectations and handling change control effectively. Alongside delivery, you will support commercial growth by shaping proposals, contributing to sales cycles and developing long-term client relationships. You will also lead internal initiatives, helping to improve processes and support the wider business.
Here’s an idea of what your day will look like:
- You will drive the successful end-to-end delivery of finance transformation projects (across various technologies) providing project management leadership to both clients and delivery teams.
- You will manage all aspects of project governance, including financials, stakeholder management, planning and scheduling, resource allocation, risk management and change control.
- You will establish and embed effective ways of working, ensuring alignment with VantagePoint’s delivery model principles and project governance framework.
- You will collaborate with delivery teams to ensure the right methodologies, tools and practices are applied using our market-leading project management tool.
- You will lead project planning and resource coordination in partnership with the internal resourcing team, tracking progress to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- You will provide clear and regular communication to clients, reporting on project status, risks, issues and key decisions.
- You will support the preparation of RFPs and sales proposals.
- You will check in regularly with project teams, offering coaching, mentoring and guidance to support the development of more junior team members.
- You will help identify and document new opportunities within client projects to expand VantagePoint’s commercial footprint.
A summary of the kind of person we’re looking for:
- You have hands-on experience delivering technical software implementations, ideally within a finance function.
- You bring proven project management experience within a technology environment, with a preference for EPM or CPM solutions (not mandatory).
- You are highly proficient across the Microsoft suite.
- You have practical experience applying a structured implementation methodology, covering requirements gathering, design, build, testing and deployment.
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and can engage confidently with clients, providing clear advice and constructive challenge.
- You have a track record of managing multiple responsibilities effectively and delivering under pressure and are motivated by variety and thrive in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
