The opportunity
We are looking for a Strategic Partnerships Lead to own and grow our relationship with Workiva – one of our most important strategic partners. This role is particularly suited to someone from a finance transformation or CFO advisory background who is looking to move closer to the commercial and partnership side of the business. This is not a traditional presales or sales. You will be accountable for the overall health, growth and commercial success of the partnership, shaping how we go to market, building joint pipeline, and ensuring consistent, high-quality deal execution. You will sit at the centre of VantagePoint and Workiva – aligning stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue through a combination of partnership leadership, commercial ownership and solution expertise. You will also play a key role in shaping and progressing opportunities – working directly with CFOs and senior finance leaders to define high-value transformation solutions. Success in this role comes from your ability to build trust with Workiva, create momentum in the market, and convert CFO challenges into high-quality, winnable opportunities.
What you’ll be doing
- Partnership ownership & growth
- Own the Workiva partnership strategy, performance and outcomes
- Build and maintain senior relationships across Workiva (sales, alliances, leadership)
- Define and execute joint go-to-market plans
- Drive pipeline, conversion and revenue performance
- Act as the internal point of accountability for partnership success
- Co-create pipeline with Workiva – not just respond to inbound opportunities
- Identify target accounts, sectors and campaign opportunities
- Lead joint events, campaigns and market engagement
- Position VantagePoint as a trusted, high-quality delivery partner
- Build repeatable, scalable pipeline generation motions
- Shape, progress and influence opportunities from discovery through to close
- Lead structured discovery sessions with CFOs and senior stakeholders
- Translate business challenges into clear, actionable solution strategies
- Advise CFOs on reporting, compliance and finance transformation priorities
- Provide input into target operating models, processes and controls
- Deliver compelling demos, workshops and executive presentations
- Define scope, delivery approach and commercial structures
- Develop proposals and statements of work aligned to client outcomes
- Ensure opportunities are positioned for successful delivery
- Act as the bridge between commercial, consulting and leadership teams
- Align internal stakeholders to ensure opportunities are well-qualified and winnable
- Maintain momentum across deals and influence progression
- Drive high-quality outcomes – not just deal closure
- Contribute directly to revenue growth and partnership success
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who combines finance transformation expertise with commercial instinct and partnership ownership. You might currently be working as a:
- Finance transformation / CFO advisory consultant (Big 4, consulting firm or boutique) looking to move into a more commercial role
- Alliance / Partner Manager within a technology or consulting firm
- Senior Solutions Consultant with commercial ownership
- Solutions Lead or Presales Lead with strong partner-facing exposure
Key attributes include:
- Strong understanding of finance function challenges (FP&A, consolidation, reporting, controls)
- Ability to engage CFOs as a credible advisor, not just a solution presenter
- Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships
- Strong commercial judgement – understands how deals are shaped and won
- Credibility with both external partners and internal delivery teams
- Comfortable operating with ownership, ambiguity and autonomy
- Able to influence without authority across multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication, storytelling and stakeholder management skills
