Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (37.5 hours)

GBP28,000 – GBP30,000 per annum

Are you someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in bringing items back to life? We are looking for a Refurbishment Technician to join a well-established and friendly team based in Castle Donington. We work with a specialist SME business operating across Europe.

This role is ideal for someone with a good grasp of tools and basic electrical knowledge, who can work independently, identify what needs fixing, and get on with the job.

What you’ll be doing as a Refurbishment Technician:

• Inspecting returned equipment and carrying out repairs as needed
• Preparing items for resale, including cleaning, replacing panels, or refitting hinges
• Using hand and power tools to carry out repairs
• Assessing damage and deciding whether to repair, recondition, or regrade goods
• Logging work accurately and following basic reporting procedures
• Occasionally visiting sites with a senior engineer (primarily workshop-based role)
• Supporting efforts to reduce unnecessary write-offs and restore stock

The ideal Refurbishment Technician will have:

• A practical, reliable approach with a can-do attitude
• Experience using tools and basic electrical skills (e.g., wiring a plug, understanding live and neutral)
• Good computer literacy (Word, Excel) and clear record-keeping skills
• An eye for detail and a tidy, methodical working style
• A background in general maintenance or similar fields is advantageous
• A forklift license is useful but not essential; training can be provided
• Preferably some work experience rather than a school leaver
