The Role and Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter

As a Mobile Mechanical Fitter, you\’ll be a vital part of a small, two-person team. Your primary responsibility will be working on proprietary filtration technology at various client sites. Your work will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and safety of these systems.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and snagging on mechanical systems. A key task involves accessing confined spaces to inspect and maintain hundreds of nozzles on each filter plate.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and rectify defects on filters and their vessels. You must be able to work independently to identify issues and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and compliance standards. A Confined Space Ticket is essential, and an SSSTS card is highly desirable, or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Documentation: Accurately record all inspection and maintenance work.
