What You’ll Be Doing as the Heavy Plant and HGV Technical Support:
- Offering first-line technical support to field engineers working on specialist heavy fleet vehicles.
- Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults remotely (via phone/email) and occasionally on-site.
- Supporting both diesel and electric vehicle systems.
- Collaborating with the in-house manufacturing and engineering team during your structured product induction.
- Providing ongoing technical training and support to engineers in the field.
- Logging and tracking technical queries to identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring to the role of Heavy Plant and HGV Technical Support:
- A strong background in heavy plant, HGVs, or mechanical engineering - ideally as a senior or master technician.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical fault finding and repair.
- Exposure to plant or fleet vehicles such as refuse trucks, cranes, 360 excavators, tractors, or similar.
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Plant or HGV (City & Guilds, NVQ, IMI, or equivalent).
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the UK occasionally.
