Maintenance Technician, Castle Donington | Permanent | Monday to Friday £27-29k (they are open to either 4 or 5 days)

Are you a practical, hands-on Maintenance Technician with strong DIY skills who enjoys variety and solving problems?

This is a great opportunity to join a busy facilities team where no two days are the same.

As Maintenance Technician, you will look after general building maintenance, minor repairs, site checks, vehicles and day-to-day facilities support across a large commercial site.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in their work, can use their own initiative and is happy turning their hand to whatever needs doing.

As Maintenance Technician, you will

Carry out general maintenance including minor plumbing, basic electrical repairs, painting and fitting fixtures.

Complete repairs to buildings, equipment and infrastructure.

Carry out routine fire alarm, sprinkler and emergency lighting checks.

Monitor the condition of the building and report any defects or safety concerns.

Check and maintain company vehicles, including tyres, fluids and general condition.

Assist with taking vehicles to and from local garages when required.

Support general facilities tasks including moving equipment and maintaining supplies.

Ensure tools, equipment and facilities are kept in good working order.

Respond to reactive maintenance issues as they arise.

Occasionally lock up the site or respond to out-of-hours alarm callouts.

We are looking for someone with

Excellent practical and DIY skills.

Previous maintenance, facilities or trade experience.

A good all-round knowledge of building repairs and maintenance.

A full UK driving licence.

The ability to work independently and solve problems.

A flexible approach and willingness to help across a wide range of tasks.

Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

Experience within a commercial maintenance environment, a trade background, Fire Marshal duties or First Aid would all be advantageous.
