Are you a Garment Technologist / Compliance Coordinator with a strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, labelling and factories, who enjoys getting into the detail and making sure everything is technically and factually correct?

This is a great opportunity for a Garment Technologist / Compliance Coordinator to join a busy apparel business where the role sits across garment technology, product development and compliance. You do not need to already be a compliance expert; what matters more is that you understand garments, how they are made, how factories operate and how to research, check and challenge technical information properly.

As the Garment Technologist / Compliance Coordinator, you will support new and existing products with everything from garment composition, labelling and packaging through to certification, factory documentation and technical checks. It would suit someone who has worked as a Garment Technologist, Product Developer, Technical Coordinator or within a design or technical room and who enjoys the analytical side of the garment industry.

As the Garment Technologist / Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing garment specifications, construction and fibre composition.
  • Checking garment labels, care labels, packaging and artwork.
  • Ensuring the correct labelling information is in place for new garments.
  • Sending garments and materials for testing and certification.
  • Supporting applications for relevant product and material certificates.
  • Checking certificates are valid, current and relevant to the correct garment, component or factory.
  • Reviewing factory and supply-chain documentation.
  • Following up with suppliers and factories when information is missing or unclear.
  • Checking line lists and technical product information.
  • Proofreading catalogues and product information for technical accuracy.
  • Maintaining accurate certification and compliance records.
  • Supporting wider garment compliance and sustainability activity.

To be successful as the Garment Technologist / Compliance Coordinator, you will ideally have:

  • Experience within garment technology, product development, apparel technical support or textile manufacturing.
