Our client is a market leading award-winning global manufacturer of safety critical assemblies operating in the OEM, automotive, motorsport, defence and specialist vehicle sectors with manufacturing and distribution operations in the UK and USA. They are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their commercial team.

In this varied role you will proactively seek out new business opportunities within existing, lapsed and prospective customers whilst maintaining an overview of several assigned UK / EU based customers establishing strong working relationships at all levels within the OEM through regular visits and working with your colleagues internally such as Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Material Control to ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Business with at least 3 years Key Account or new business generation experience within automotive / aerospace or similar preferably within engineered parts such as engine, powertrain, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, cooling, exhaust, fuel systems or braking systems.

There is extensive UK / European travel but as the manufacturing facility is based in the West Midlands it would be ideal if you were within an hour’s commute of Birmingham.

This is a permanent role with a guideline base of £90 - £110,000 plus bonus and benefits.
