The client is modernising how its people collaborate, work and access technology, while also redesigning its IT service model to bring key capabilities closer to the business. This is a high-profile programme with senior stakeholder visibility, external partner involvement, and a clear need for strong governance, structure and delivery control.
The Role
You will oversee two key transformation initiatives:
- Focused on modernising workplace services, improving digital collaboration and enabling future-fit technology across the business.
- Focused on redesigning the IT operating model, repatriating key IT service capabilities and establishing the right governance, partner interlocks and service arrangements for the future.
Working closely with the Programme Sponsor, project teams, senior stakeholders and external partners, you will ensure both workstreams remain aligned to programme objectives, timelines, budgets and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall programme delivery across the Modern Workplace and IT Operating Model workstreams.
- Coordinate project activity and ensure both workstreams remain aligned to the wider programme charter, scope and objectives.
- Own programme-level reporting, consolidating project updates into clear senior stakeholder packs.
- Run weekly programme status meetings, tracking progress, decisions, actions, risks and issues.
- Prepare materials for Steering Committees and governance forums.
- Maintain and manage the programme RAID log, working with project leads to identify risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
- Build and maintain detailed programme plans, including senior-level 'plan on a page' summaries.
- Oversee programme budget tracking, financial reporting and resource planning.
- Work with partner organisations to define shared working principles and ensure effective delivery interlocks.
- Provide structure, pace and challenge across the programme to support delivery against agreed timelines and outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Programme Manager with experience delivering complex IT or business transformation programmes.

- Confident working with senior stakeholders, sponsors and external partners.
- Able to bring order, pace and clarity to complex delivery environments.
- Strong financial and budget management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for senior audiences.
- Insurance experience would be highly beneficial, but wider regulated industry experience will also be considered.
You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You Can
- Operate at programme level while staying close enough to the detail to spot delivery risk early.
- Build trust quickly with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Work effectively across multiple parties, including internal teams and external partners.
- Create clear governance and reporting where delivery environments are complex or evolving.
- Keep momentum high without losing control of scope, budget or risk.
