Client is seeking a skilled and experienced End user service specialist to be part of our team delivering IT infrastructure support to Client, a leading audit, tax and consulting firm. This role supports Client's National Technology team, a dynamic internal service function responsible for deploying and managing critical technology solutions that drive business operations and strategic growth. As part of the collaboration tech ops team, the End user specialist will focus on ensuring the performance, security, and availability of hybrid cloud systems and datacentre services. The role includes implementing new technologies, maintaining infrastructure components, and ensuring systems remain aligned with Client's IT security and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, focusing on automation, Azure AD, SSO, and ADFS integration.
- Ensure seamless identity management and secure access across cloud platforms.
- Administer Microsoft Exchange (2010/2013/2016/2019) and Office 365, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage email gateways (IronPort, Proofpoint, EOP) and Exchange load balancers (NLB, WNLB, Clustering).
- Manage SPF, DKIM, DAG, patch management, and troubleshoot message flow.
- Collaborate on DR planning and document architecture and failover strategies.
- Manage Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other collaboration services.
- Offer support for Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, BOX sync, and email archiving.
- Utilize PowerShell for automation and system troubleshooting across the UCC infrastructure.
- Ability to reach either the Crawley or Croydon data centre within 45 minutes to address any high priority issues or any urgent critical IT requirement.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support (On rotation basis) for data centre operations.
Required Skills
- Proven, hands-on experience in M365, Azure, and Automation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across multi-tenant environments.
- Leads identity management solutions, overseeing Azure SSO, ADFS, and Active Directory (AD) configurations to strengthen security and access controls.
- Manages distribution lists (DLs), multi-tenant synchronization, and identity lifecycle processes to facilitate seamless collaboration and security across hybrid environments.
- Implements automation frameworks using PowerShell and cloud-native tools to enhance infrastructure provisioning and operational efficiency.
- Leads technical troubleshooting, providing rapid problem-solving expertise in VPN/remote connectivity, DirectAccess, and secure authentication protocols.
- Ensures resilient network access solutions while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Strong understanding and management of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience with MECM (SCCM), WSUS, and Intune for endpoint management.
- Knowledge of Direct Access or other VPN systems.
- Expertise in configuring ADFS and SSO systems for seamless authentication.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Advanced scripting skills to automate tasks and optimize systems.
