We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Director to lead our commercial growth across the UK and Ireland. This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role, responsible for expanding our market share in both our core control panel manufacturing division and our growing remote monitoring and digital solutions offering.
You will shape and execute the sales strategy, develop key customer relationships, and position Thames Valley Controls as the partner of choice within the lift and access industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a UK & Ireland sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Lead new business development across lift manufacturers, installers, and service providers
- Manage and grow existing key accounts, ensuring long‑term partnerships
- Drive sales of both:
- Elevator control panels (new installations & modernisation)
- Digital remote monitoring and packaged solutions
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and competitor activities
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing sales function (where applicable)
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to align customer solutions
- Represent Thames Valley Controls at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
- Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting
About You
- Proven experience in a senior sales or commercial leadership role
- Background in one or more of the following sectors:
- Lift / elevator industry
- Building services / controls / automation
- Industrial electrical or electronic systems
- Demonstrable success in business development and key account management
- Experience selling technical or engineered solutions
- Strong understanding of digital/connected systems is highly desirable
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland
