Vantage Education Partners are proud to be supporting an OFSTED Outstanding Secondary School and Sixth Form in East London in the recruitment of an exceptional SENCo for September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and passionate SEND professional to join a highly successful Inclusion Team within a thriving and inclusive school community. The school is seeking a qualified SENCo with a child-centred approach and a strong commitment to ensuring every student achieves their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced SENCo leaders and support students with SEN Support needs and EHCPs across both mainstream provision and a specialist Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP).
The Role
- Leading and developing outstanding SEND provision across the school
- Supporting inclusive teaching and learning strategies across departments
- Monitoring progress and implementing effective interventions for vulnerable learners
- Working collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to ensure excellent outcomes for students
- Supporting transition, inclusion and personalised learning programmes
- Providing guidance and training to staff to promote high-quality adaptive teaching
- Contributing strategically to whole-school SEND development and inclusion practice

The Ideal Candidate
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Hold the National SENCo Qualification
- Have successful teaching experience within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Be passionate about inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners
- Have experience supporting students with a range of additional needs, including EHCPs
- Be committed to collaborative working and continuous professional development
This position would suit an experienced SENCo or an ambitious middle leader looking to further develop their leadership career within an Outstanding school setting. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.
