Product Team

The Product team within the CTO organisation is the owner of the EMEA data centre product, responsible for defining, governing, and standardising the platform in alignment with global direction while addressing regional and customer-specific requirements. We lead early-stage product definition, including test fits and commercial alignment, and are accountable for translating customer technical standards and requirements into tailored reference designs. It owns product cost and value, including BCO alignment, and defines OFCI technical standards, specifications, and inventory strategy to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability across the portfolio.

Beyond definition, the Product team governs how the product is applied and evolves across the business. It sets performance requirements, drives programme management, process improvement, and digital enablement, and ensures strong alignment with delivery and constructability. The team manages product change and governance, oversees design partner alignment with product intent, and establishes the frameworks for compliance and assurance. Through continuous feedback from live projects, it refines the product, improving quality, consistency, and performance while ensuring alignment with operational realities and customer expectations.

Position Overview

Vantage is seeking a Principal Architect for Digital & Asset Integration to join the team within the CTO organisation in EMEA. The role integrates digital information governance and end-to-end lifecycle design, data integrity, and asset intelligence with building design authority across Vantage's EMEA portfolio. This role is responsible for owning and governing the frameworks, standards, and governance required to enable structured digital delivery, modern methods of construction (or DfMA), and operational asset integration. It will enable consistent delivery through defined product standards and frameworks.

Operating at a regional EMEA level, the role defines and assures:

  • Information governance aligned to ISO 19650.
  • Product digital delivery assurance and portfolio-wide consistency.
  • Lifecycle digital asset integration and operational readiness.
  • Data environments supporting analytics, AI, and digital twin enablement.
  • Building/Architectural design strategy and platform standardisation.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Information Governance & Product Leadership

  • Define and govern the regional digital information strategy aligned with global goals.
  • Establish and maintain ISO 19650-compliant information frameworks and CDE governance (ACC/Forma).
  • Define portfolio-wide information standards, naming conventions, and digital workflows.
  • Define the digital delivery assurance framework, including:
    • Data quality and lifecycle governance
    • Design review and submission compliance
    • Consultant BIM execution governance
    • Drive portfolio consistency through standardised digital processes, onboarding, and governance.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and ways of working, integrating latest industry thinking into product standards and digital delivery frameworks.

Digital Delivery Oversight / BIM Execution Governance

  • Define BIM and digital delivery standards, including model structure, coordination requirements, and QA/QC expectations:
    • Model standards
    • LOD definitions
    • QA requirements
    • Deliverables

Lifecycle Digital Asset Integration

  • Establish and govern the EMEA Product digital asset lifecycle framework, covering design through operations and asset refresh.
  • Define structured digital turnover requirements enabling operational readiness and maintainable asset records.
  • Develop asset information models aligned to:
    • Structured asset data deliverables (e.g. COBie)
    • Digital twin readiness and operational metadata standards
  • Define integration strategy between design environments and operational systems, including but not limited to:
    • ACC / FORMA (or other similar CDE systems)
    • DCIM, BMS, CMMS
    • GIS, SCADA, ERP platforms
  • Define requirements for mapping design assets to operational systems, ensuring true lifecycle data continuity.

Asset Intelligence, Analytics & Digital Twin Enablement

  • Define structured data frameworks enabling:
    • Portfolio-wide analytics and performance intelligence
    • Asset information quality monitoring
    • Predictive and AI-enabled operational insights
  • Support development of:
    • Asset relationship models
    • Telemetry-enabled asset strategies
    • Digital twin data schemas and live data environments
  • Ensure readiness of data environments for:
    • Machine learning and advanced analytics
    • Operational optimisation and asset intelligence

DfMA, Manufacturing Integration & Traceability

  • Establish digital frameworks supporting industrialised delivery and manufacturing traceability, including:
    • Serialised asset data structures
    • Module genealogy and prefab tracking
    • Factory QA/QC digital records
  • Define standards for:
    • Manufacturing data integration
    • Supply chain digital continuity
    • FAT/SAT linkage to operational asset data
  • Define requirements/strategies for:
    • QR/RFID asset tracking
    • Integration with OFCI procurement datasets

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Drive alignment across Design, Delivery, Procurement, Development, and Operations teams.
  • Act as a key interface between MCE, Global/Regional Digital Information teams, and regional stakeholders.
  • Lead engagement with consultants, contractors, and technology providers to ensure alignment with standards and delivery objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Lead initiatives to improve digital delivery, data quality, and lifecycle integration.
  • Identify and implement new technologies supporting:
    • Digital engineering and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC)
    • Automation and data integration
    • Digital twin and asset intelligence

Architectural & Product Design Leadership

  • Lead architectural scope across early-stage development (WS0-WS2), including feasibility, test fits, and concept design.
  • Define and evolve scalable, repeatable design solutions aligned to Product platform strategy and standardisation objectives.
  • Define integrated design principles across CSA, MEP, ICT, and Security.
  • Own product and platform development, including modularisation and DfMA strategies.
  • Set requirements guiding cost, constructability, and performance outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years experience in:
    • Digital information management / BIM / CDE governance
    • Architectural design within data centre or mission critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • ISO 19650 information management
    • BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, ACC/Forma)
    • Multidisciplinary data center systems
  • Demonstrated leadership in:
    • Platform standardisation and product development
    • Digital transformation or information governance programmes
    • Cross-functional and multi-regional environments
  • Core competencies in:
    • Strategic leadership and decision-making
    • Architectural and engineering judgement
