Vantage is seeking a detail-oriented, initiative-driven, fast-learning Tax Senior to assist with direct and indirect tax compliance, and ad hoc advisory workstreams, in the fast-growing EMEA region. You will support broad company initiatives and projects and interact with key internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with our Vice President, Tax, EMEA and the rest of the EMEA Tax team, located in the UK and Germany, and have visibility with members of our Executive Team in EMEA. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is capable of driving results and enjoys variety and challenges.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support the broader EMEA Tax team in managing local tax advisors throughout the EMEA region to ensure accurate and timely compliance for direct, indirect, and withholding tax filings and payments.
  • Support local Vantage Finance Managers throughout the EMEA region with direct and indirect tax queries.
  • Support the broader EMEA Tax team in preparing tax provisions for entity and consolidated financial statements and liaising with statutory auditors in respect of current and deferred taxes.
  • Contribute to the organisation and development of tax compliance processes in the EMEA region, including support for agentic AI solutions.
  • Support the Vice President, Tax with ad hoc projects, which may include transaction work, restructuring, new territory due diligence, contract reviews, transfer pricing, etc. as needed.
Duties
  • Support the broader EMEA Tax team, our local advisors, and each relevant Vantage Finance Manager in the preparation of our corporate income tax returns throughout the EMEA region. Ensure tax filing and payment deadlines are met and monitor local tax legislation, updating processes as required.
  • Support the broader EMEA Tax team, our local advisors, and each relevant Vantage Finance Manager in the preparation of our VAT returns throughout the EMEA region. Ensure all filings and payment deadlines are met.
  • Support the broader EMEA Tax team with the preparation of current and deferred tax provisions for entity and consolidated financial statements, including support on tax modelling, preparation of tax accounting memoranda, and liaison with statutory auditors.
  • As required, support HR and payroll tax providers with local filings and provide a general overview of our regional employment tax position.
  • Support the EMEA Tax team in responding to local tax authority compliance checks / interventions / enquiries for both direct and indirect taxes.
  • Assist in and contribute to, the organisation and maintenance of compliance calendars, processes and filings, using our preferred software solution. Assist the Tax Manager, EMEA in driving automation projects.
  • Support the EMEA Tax team in maintaining a tax document repository covering all legal entities in EMEA to support preparedness for tax office interactions and due diligence.
  • Assist in the fulfilment of withholding tax compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Prepare or assist in preparing property tax returns and monitor for incentives and optimization, working with the relevant internal teams to obtain the necessary information for the returns.
  • Prepare or assist in preparing capital allowance or tax depreciation claims for relevant entities in the Vantage EMEA group, working with the relevant internal teams to obtain the necessary information for the returns.
  • Assist the Vice President, Tax in various corporate tax projects (e.g. reorganisations, M&A projects, thin capitalization analysis and planning, transfer pricing documentation, tax automation projects, transfer taxes - including stamp duties - calculations and compliance).
  • Infrequent travel within EMEA may be required.

Given we are a high-growth group, it is likely job duties will evolve and change over time. The role promises variety and opportunities to develop tax skills in a number of jurisdictions.

Job Requirements
  • Expectation of minimum 3 days per week office attendance at our Newport site (Imperial House).
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate tax compliance and accounting, preferably with exposure to large multinational groups.
  • Professional qualification in accountancy and/or tax, with CTA strongly preferred and ACA/ACCA considered very beneficial.
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively to competing deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and desire to learn about and understand new tax concepts and regimes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to speak a foreign language advantageous, but not required.
