About Vantage Data Centers: Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.
Position Overview: Vantage is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Lease Manager, EMEA, to join the Legal Leasing team and support the full lifecycle governance of customer lease transactions across the EMEA portfolio. This role will support enterprise lease negotiations in accordance with pre-established Legal playbook positions; assist with simple enterprise and hyperscale lease amendments, project notices, and other customer-related documentation; coordinate approvals and execution readiness; and ensure that executed leases and related documents are accurately abstracted, filed, tracked, interpreted, and operationalized across the business. The role will also own, from a Legal perspective, the EMEA lease abstraction process and AI-enabled abstraction platform, helping improve contract visibility, lease compliance, governance, and risk management across the region.
Essential Job Functions:
- Pre-Execution Lease Support and Enterprise Lease Negotiation: Support the EMEA Legal Leasing team in the pre-execution phase of customer lease transactions, including RFP support, document organization, approval tracking, and execution readiness. Negotiate enterprise customer agreements and related transaction documents in accordance with pre-established Legal playbook positions, escalating deviations and material risk issues to the appropriate lawyer. Track open issues, internal approvals, closing steps, unresolved comments, and customer documentation deliverables to support timely and controlled contract closure. Support lawyers by organizing inputs, preparing issue lists, coordinating cross-functional feedback, and helping ensure signed documents can transition smoothly into post-execution management.
- Post-Execution Lease Governance and Compliance: Support lease debriefs and handoffs for new leases and other material customer agreements to communicate key contractual commitments and ownership responsibilities to relevant business teams. Prepare, review, and help negotiate simple amendments, project notices, customer consents, routine customer correspondence, and other customer-related documentation using approved templates, playbook positions, and lawyer guidance. Support Legal Leasing review of root cause analyses, SLA events, and related operational incident materials where customer contractual obligations or contractual remedies may be implicated. Support Legal Leasing in providing practical contract interpretation and guidance to business stakeholders on routine contract-related questions.
- Lease Abstraction, AI Platform Ownership, and File Management: Own the EMEA lease abstraction process from a Legal perspective, including abstraction standards, required data fields, and validation protocols. Assist with the implementation and manage EMEA governance of a global AI-enabled lease abstraction platform, including validation of AI-generated abstraction outputs for accuracy and legal reliability before data is made available for business use. Partner with IT, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure abstraction tools, dashboards, repositories, and workflows support appropriate access controls, confidentiality requirements, reporting needs, and business processes. Own or support legal governance of lease file management and filing of customer-related documents, including folder structures, naming conventions, document classification, version control, permissioning, redaction, retention, and audit readiness.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to EMEA lease lifecycle processes. Develop scalable processes that reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, increase visibility into customer obligations, and support portfolio growth. Contribute to global alignment of lease compliance and abstraction practices across North America, EMEA, and APAC while addressing EMEA-specific requirements. Support special projects and lease management initiatives as assigned by Legal Leasing leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, business, real estate, legal studies, or a related field; paralegal qualification and relevant certifications are a plus. We welcome applications from candidates seeking to develop practical legal experience and potentially accrue QWE.
- Experience: Significant experience in lease administration, contract management, commercial real estate, or a related legal/compliance function, preferably in a data center, technology, infrastructure, telecom, real estate, or high-growth environment. Experience supporting pre-execution contract workflows, including document organization, approval tracking, issue lists, execution readiness, and post-signature handoff. Experience working with lawyers or senior legal professionals on complex customer contracts, commercial real estate leases, data center agreements, technology contracts, or similarly complex commercial documentation.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organization, analytical, and project management skills. Experience handling complex contracts with detailed technical specifications. Experience managing and organizing large deals/projects simultaneously under deadline pressure. Agile and adaptable to keep up with customer and business objectives, with a solution-oriented mindset. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to foster/manage relationships across multiple departments. Comfortable working with technology, AI-enabled tools, dashboards, databases, and structured contract data. Practical, business-oriented approach to legal risk and contract compliance. Strong customer-service orientation and ability to support internal stakeholders with clarity and responsiveness. Ability to operate independently while staying closely aligned with the Legal Leasing team. Energized by building new processes, improving visibility, and helping a fast-growing global business scale responsibly.
