About the Role
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the engineering team. Working from the Daresbury office with occasional site visits, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical designs for control systems projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and customers to deliver technically robust solutions from concept through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical designs for control systems projects.
- Design control panels, LV distribution systems and associated electrical schematics.
- Produce Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
- Carry out cable sizing and load schedule calculations.
- Conduct site surveys to gather design information.
- Produce drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar software.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and client specifications.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
- Experience designing control panels and LV distribution systems.
- Exposure to MCC design would be advantageous.
- Experience producing Functional Design Specifications.
- Knowledge of cable sizing and load schedules.
- Experience carrying out site surveys.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar CAD packages.
- Background within manufacturing, process industries or industrial automation.
- Previous Project Engineering experience would also be considered.
