Type: Permanent We are working with an established BMS and building controls specialist who are looking to add an experienced BMS Service & Small Works Engineer to their team.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts, BMS commissioning and small works across a range of commercial and industrial sites throughout the region.

The role would suit a BMS Engineer who enjoys the technical side of the job but also values good client relationships and the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial survey through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance across BMS installations.

Attend reactive callouts and breakdowns in line with agreed SLAs.

Commission and support BMS systems including Trend, Tridium, Siemens and Cylon.

Complete BMS software, wiring and commissioning schedules.

Interpret and amend existing BMS control strategies.

Carry out site surveys and produce technical reports with recommendations.

Support and deliver small BMS projects from design through to commissioning.

Coordinate subcontractors and other site resources where required.

Produce O&M documentation and descriptions of operation.

Complete client demonstrations and project handovers.

Maintain software and strategy backups and site documentation.

Ensure works are delivered in accordance with RAMS, company procedures and client H&S requirements.

Identify additional works and opportunities for quotation.

Build strong relationships with clients and provide a high level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working as a BMS Service, Commissioning or Small Works Engineer.

Strong experience with at least one major BMS platform, ideally Trend, Tridium/Niagara, Siemens, Schneider or Cylon.

Good understanding of BMS control strategies and the ability to interpret and modify existing strategies.

Good understanding of HVAC and associated building services.

Experience with planned maintenance and reactive fault finding.

Electrically competent with the ability to understand control wiring and schematics.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A customer-focused approach with the ability to work independently.

Full UK driving licence.
