About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic and purpose-driven team. You will be responsible for electrical design engineering activities across a range of projects from control panels to hazardous area installations ensuring safe, compliant, and effective electrical systems. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative designs while supporting technical delivery and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute electrical design engineering workstreams
- Design and specify control panels and LV distribution systems
- Provide MCC exposure for large complex installations
- Perform load assessments and system evaluations
- Electrical design of building services, plant rooms and control buildings
- Contribute to hazardous area projects
- Design earthing and surge protection solutions
- Instrument specification and coordination
- Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
- Cable sizing design and provide support through commissioning activities
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering
- Strong competencies in control panel and LV distribution design
- Experience of MCC systems
- In-depth understanding of load assessments
- Building services design exposure
- Experience with hazardous area design
- Earthing & surge protection design skills
- Instrumentation specification experience
- Experience creating FDS
- Cable sizing and commissioning exposure
