Job Title: Senior EEE Component Engineer Duration: 6 months Location: Remote Rate: DOE IR35: Outside British Citizen
Key Responsibilities
Own the EEE component programme, covering selection, qualification, screening and lifecycle management.
Select and approve components for space applications, considering reliability and environmental requirements.
Manage PPL/DCL and ensure compliance with ESA/NASA requirements.
Assess component stress, derating and reliability.
Lead Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) and radiation testing activities.
Oversee screening, qualification, DPA, failure analysis and COTS upscreening.
Manage component risks, anomalies, NCRs and supplier issues.
Support supplier audits and ESA/NASA technical reviews.
Improve EEE component processes and lifecycle management.
Essential Skills
6+ years' EEE component engineering experience within space, aerospace or defence.
Proven experience delivering EEE parts programmes for space missions.
Strong knowledge of component selection, qualification, screening and reliability.
Experience with COTS upscreening for high-reliability/space applications.
Good understanding of radiation effects, including TID, SEE, SEU and SEL.
Knowledge of ECSS, NASA EEE-INST-002, MIL-STD-883/750 and ESCC standards.
Experience with EEE databases and tools such as SPENVIS, OMERE or LTspice.
Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, packaging and failure mechanisms.
Strong technical communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with ESA/NASA and suppliers
