About the Role

We are looking for a

Junior PLC Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Runcorn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or electrical engineering background who is looking to develop a long-term career in industrial automation.

You'll receive extensive training and support from experienced engineers, giving you the opportunity to develop your PLC programming skills while working on a variety of customer projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, programming and commissioning of PLC-based control systems.
  • Assist with fault finding, testing and system modifications.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers to deliver automation projects.
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK when required.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide technical support.
  • Continuously develop your technical knowledge through structured training and mentoring.
  • Work independently while contributing to a collaborative engineering team.

About You

We're looking for someone who is motivated to build a career within automation and control systems.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
  • Some exposure to PLC programming (training can be provided).
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage your workload.
  • Happy to travel to customer sites across the UK when required.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
