The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established engineering business that is experiencing continued growth due to an expanding portfolio of electrical projects across the UK's gas and process industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to take ownership of technically challenging projects from concept through to completion, working within a collaborative engineering team delivering projects valued from

Gas, Water, Process and Pharmaceutical .

The Role

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing your own projects from initial design through to successful delivery.

Working closely with clients, project teams and other engineering disciplines, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of electrically biased projects, including LV distribution systems, hazardous area installations and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical engineering projects from design through to completion.
  • Produce electrical designs including cable calculations and LV distribution systems.
  • Create and review Auto CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Specify electrical equipment and support technical project delivery.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
  • Support hazardous area (ATEX/Comp Ex) projects where applicable.
  • Assist with control panel design and integration where required.
  • Attend occasional site visits across the UK (less than 10% travel).

About You

You'll be a proactive Electrical or EC&I Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and building strong relationships with clients.

Essential

  • 3-5 years' experience within Electrical, EC&I or Project Engineering.
  • Electrical design experience.
  • Experience using Amtech Pro Design (or similar cable calculation software).
  • Auto CAD experience.
  • Knowledge of LV distribution systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects independently.

Desirable

  • Experience working on Gas Networks (Cadent, National Gas or similar).
  • Process industry experience (Gas, Water, Pharmaceutical or Chemical).
  • Knowledge of hazardous area installations (ATEX/Comp Ex).
  • Experience with control panels.
