I'm working with a client that's looking for a Mechanical or Avionic/Electrical Product Review Engineer to join their aerospace engineering team in Birmingham. The role is focused on supporting aircraft production by investigating engineering issues found during manufacturing or maintenance and deciding on the best technical solution to keep the build moving while maintaining airworthiness and safety standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing and resolving manufacturing or build issues (non-conformances/NCRs).
- Investigating faults and carrying out root cause analysis.
- Producing engineering repair instructions and technical solutions.
- Working closely with production teams in the factory and hangar to resolve issues.
- Liaising with the design engineering team where changes or approvals are required.
- Supporting continuous improvement of engineering processes.
What they're looking for:
- Degree-qualified engineer (Mechanical, Aerospace, Avionics or Electrical).
- Aircraft systems knowledge.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance, production engineering or Part 21 design engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Comfortable working both in the office and on the production floor.
Desirable experience:
- Major aircraft repairs.
- MRB (Material Review Board) experience.
- Aircraft fleet maintenance.
- Static strength or structural repair knowledge.
