A leading manufacturer of smart heating control systems used in both domestic and commercial environments is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (IMS) to lead and develop their Integrated Management System across a modern manufacturing operation. The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the Integrated Management System (IMS), leading its ongoing development, implementation, and continuous improvement across the business. You will ensure full compliance with:
- ISO 9001:2015
- ISO 14001:2015
- ISO 45001:2018
- Customer and regulatory requirements
Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will collaborate cross-functionally to embed best practices, improve system adherence, and support operational excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Conduct internal audits and manage corrective and preventive actions
- Support external and third-party audits, helping reduce non-conformances
- Develop and maintain IMS documentation including procedures, work instructions, and forms
- Deliver training and coaching to improve IMS awareness across the business
- Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, environmental, and health & safety standards
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Strong experience working within an IMS-focused quality role in manufacturing
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor qualification
- Auditing experience relating to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
Desirable
- Degree-qualified in Engineering or similar
- Lead Auditor qualifications for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent CI qualification
- Experience within electronics manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of SharePoint document control, PFMEA, Control Plans, or metrology tools
