Operations Director (Mechanical Fire)

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Operations Director to take the lead in our Mechanical Fire Installs (Kent) division on an intial 3-6 month contract. You\’ll be managing a growing £15M business unit that spans key fire suppression services across industrial sites – including sprinkler systems, wet risers, and associated fire protection equipment. You\’ll work with established and specialist fire brands delivering full-system fire safety solutions across complex industrial environments. 🔧 What You\’ll Be Doing: Leading daily operations and project delivery for fire suppression system installs across the South Overseeing direct and subcontracted engineering teams to ensure timely, high-quality installations Driving integration across group brands to create a seamless end-to-end fire safety service Managing customer programs and commercial risk while delivering to budget and KPIs Championing a culture of safety, service excellence, and operational innovation 🧠 What We\’re Looking For: Proven leadership in sprinkler system installations, ideally in senior ops or director-level roles Strong track record in managing engineering teams and multi-million-pound contracts Experience driving change, leading through integration, and building a high-performance culture Commercial awareness with sound financial reporting, risk mitigation, and client management skills Able to roll up your sleeves, lead from the front, and coach teams to deliver exceptional service 🤝 Why Join?
