Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining legacy PLC software solutions
- Designing, configuring and commissioning our next generation control system
- Communicating with customers and translating their requirements into functional design specifications
- Testing, debugging, and performance tuning
- Writing and updating technical documentation
- Maintaining and supporting existing systems
- Collaborating with team members and stakeholders
- Out-of-hours support (evenings and weekends, after probationary period)
- On-site commissioning work (typically during the week and in the UK but including weekends and overseas)
Required Skills
- Allen Bradley PLC programming
- Siemens PLC programming (TIA portal and Simatic Manager) or Mitsubishi PLC programming
- Familiarity with SCADA systems
- Knowledge of Windows Server and PCs
Desirable Skills
- Electrical engineering experience
- Additional programming experience (specifically C, C++, or C#)
