My client is seeking a highly skilled Controls Software Engineer to join their software team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the full project lifecycle, taking projects from concept through to completion. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning PLC control systems from scratch using Allen Bradley/Rockwell and/or Mitsubishi PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and implement PLC control systems from the ground up.
  • Work on the full project lifecycle, from initial concept, design, and development through to testing, commissioning, and support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of PLC programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and test procedures.
  • Support installation and commissioning activities on-site as required.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in PLC technology and industrial automation.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing and programming PLC systems from scratch.
  • A solid understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and HMI/SCADA development.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and other industrial networks.
