Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: Up to £55k
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivering mechanical building services projects from feasibility through to construction and handover, with values ranging from £100k to £5M.
- Managing the time, quality, and delivery of own mechanical designs.
- Producing mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for tender and construction.
- Working closely with other members of the M&E design team to deliver coordinated designs.
- Liaising with clients, architects, and project teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinating with contractors and suppliers to support efficient and buildable designs.
- Undertaking site visits, surveys of existing installations, and monitoring works on site.
- Assisting with the development of trainee and junior staff.
- Attending site and design team meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1+ years' experience in a mechanical building services design role.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software (or similar).
- Knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant standards (HTMs desirable but not essential).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
