Controls Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing engineering business with ambitious expansion plans over the next three years.
Following significant investment, the company is bringing its controls capability in-house and is looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to become a key member of the team.

We're looking for an experienced Controls Engineer with a strong Systems Integration background to deliver automation projects from concept through to commissioning.
This is a varied position that goes well beyond PLC programming.
You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, working closely with customers to develop solutions, produce technical documentation, programme control systems and commission projects on-site.
Deliver control system projects from concept through to completion.
Meet with customers to understand project requirements.
Develop I/O schedules and project documentation.
Design, develop and modify PLC/HMI software.
Carry out commissioning, testing and fault finding on customer sites.
Work closely with internal engineering teams throughout project delivery.
Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and documentation.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high technical standard.
Proven experience as a Controls Engineer within a Systems Integration environment.
Strong PLC programming and commissioning experience.
Ability to manage projects independently from design through to commissioning.
Experience with one or more of the following PLC platforms:
Electrical engineering background.
Experience within process industries such as Water, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Nuclear or Manufacturing.
Knowledge of power management systems or switchgear.
Travel
Approximately 20% UK travel to customer sites
