Key Responsibilities

  • Producing fabrication, refractory, and general arrangement drawings in accordance with BS8888 standards
  • Reviewing and verifying engineering drawings created by team members
  • Carrying out site surveys and supporting feasibility assessments
  • Preparing and maintaining bills of materials (BOM)
  • Liaising with suppliers and undertaking quality inspections where required
  • Providing technical input and support to the sales team
  • Assisting with fabrication cost estimation

Essential Requirements

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in bespoke machinery design
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Degree in Engineering or significant practical experience through engineering apprenticeships and design roles

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Practical workshop, fabrication, or shop-floor experience
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD LT
  • Experience working with refractory materials
