I am looking for a leading expert with long-term experience in plant control and microgrid technologies to drive innovation and development in the digital energy sector for a Global organisation who have new product development at the forefront of their business.
As a leading expert you will be required to set up and lead the research team, build the key core competitiveness of products in the domain, and achieve the business success of next-generation energy products. You will join a dynamic and highly collaborative team of experts and PhDs passionate about research projects and innovative solutions.
Your mission
- Have an in-depth understanding of digital energy-related businesses and gain insight into the requirements and trends of the European market.
- Define and design innovative plant control and microgrid solutions that meet customer needs and address their pain points.
- Work closely with the product team to guide product development and technology roadmap development.
- Actively participate in strategic partnership technical discussions with European power companies.
- Occasionally represent the company at key industry conferences and events when technical expertise is required.
- Monitor industry standard evolution and provide technical input to support product competitiveness.
- Gain insight into and analyse the latest technologies in the industry, provide strategies for related products of the company, make breakthroughs in key technologies, and build the core competitiveness of related technologies.
Your areas of expertise
- 10+ years of experience in Power Plant Controller, Micro Grid Controller, Energy Management System.
- Familiarity with the delivery process of new energy power plants and micro-grid projects in Europe.
- Deep knowledge of safety standards for micro-grid and power plants installations across Europe.
- Have led the R&D of products or solutions that have been used in multiple 100 MW or larger projects in Europe.
- Have an in-depth understanding of power plant scenarios, and understand the pain points of European power plant users and project implementation issues.
- Long-term experience with the usage of products (both hardware and software) for micro-grid installations and control, including connection to third-party devices, is preferred.
- Experience in power forecasting, power market analysis, or VPP development is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
