We are currently seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join a leading controls specialist on a major, long-term critical infrastructure project in North Acton. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile project with work secured through to May next year, offering long-term stability and the chance to be part of a highly experienced engineering team.

The Role

As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning, testing and optimisation of Building Management Systems, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You will be working across a modern critical environment, carrying out commissioning activities, fault finding, software modifications where required, and supporting the project through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission BMS systems on site
  • Test, fault find and troubleshoot control systems
  • Carry out point-to-point checks and system validation
  • Support software commissioning and modifications
  • Work closely with project managers, electrical contractors and other engineering teams
  • Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately
  • Support project handover and client demonstrations

Systems

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

  • Tridium
  • Johnson Controls
  • Metasys
  • EasyIO

Experience with other BMS platforms such as Trend or Schneider EcoStruxure will also be considered.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer
  • Strong commissioning and fault-finding background
  • Experience working on live control systems
  • ECS or CSCS Card
  • SMSTS or SSSTS is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
