We are seeking a Trainee BMS Service Engineer to join a growing and supportive team, offering structured training and development towards becoming a fully qualified BMS Service Engineer. The Role
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will assist with the servicing, maintenance, and fault finding of Building Management Systems across a variety of commercial sites. You will gain hands-on experience in system commissioning, controls troubleshooting, planned maintenance, and software modifications while developing your technical expertise through ongoing training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the servicing and maintenance of BMS systems
- Supporting commissioning, testing, and optimisation activities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service visits
- Learning to diagnose electrical, controls, and communication faults
- Assisting with controller replacements, upgrades, and software modifications
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
- Working safely and following all health and safety procedures
- Participating in structured training and development programmes
