A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Power Management System (PMS) Design Engineer to support the delivery of a major European data centre project. This is an excellent opportunity for a contractor with a strong background in power systems design to play a key role in developing a vendor-neutral Power Management System solution from concept through to detailed design documentation.
The Role
You will be responsible for the development and documentation of the overall Power Management System (PMS) design, ensuring it integrates effectively with the wider electrical infrastructure and associated control systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing the overall PMS Control Philosophy
- Producing Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
- Preparing Performance and Procurement Specifications
- Developing PMS system architecture and interface diagrams
- Defining control strategies and system functionality
- Coordinating interfaces between the PMS, EPMS, BMS and Medium Voltage electrical infrastructure
- Working closely with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Producing clear technical documentation suitable for procurement and implementation
