Electrical Design Engineer Kingston-upon-Thames Up to 60k
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to take a hands‑on role in the delivery of electrical building services design across the full project lifecycle. You will be responsible for producing and overseeing feasibility studies, detailed design work, calculations, and technical documentation, while collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
The role also includes supporting projects through construction and handover stages, with responsibilities such as site visits, site supervision, contract administration support, and commissioning activities.
Ideal skills:
- The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in electrical building services design, supported by solid technical knowledge and design capability.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of electrical services design, including LV/HV systems, utility infrastructure, and sustainability considerations
- Experience producing technical calculations, reports, and design documentation
- Proficiency with industry software such as Amtech/Trimble, ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- A proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple project stages are essential.
