Are you looking for a flexible role in a friendly and supportive environment? Flixton Girls School is seeking a reliable, approachable, and proactive Casual Recreational Attendant to help oversee facility use during out-of-hours lettings.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the school site for external lettings (evenings/weekends)
- Ensure facilities are safe, clean, and ready for use
- Act as a point of contact for hirers
- Basic preparation of food/ drink items
- Serving of hot and cold beverages and pre-cooked food
- Serving customers in a polite and friendly manner
- Report any issues and assist with basic troubleshooting
Hours
Hours: Casual, as and when required – mostly evenings and weekends. Flexible 5 - 10 hours per week.
What We’re Looking For
- Is friendly, punctual, and reliable
- Must be physically able to conduct manual handling duties
- Is able to work independently and with initiative
- Has basic knowledge of building safety and hygiene standards is an advantage (training provided)
Qualifications
- Good qualifications in both English and Maths Essential
- Basic Health & Safety Certificate Desirable
Skills & Experience
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, parents and students Essential
- People focussed; ability to build good relationships, a sense of humour. Essential
- Excellent communication skills with children, staff, parents and the wider community Essential
- Experience in working in a similar role and environment Desirable

Benefits and Safeguarding
Paid at an hourly rate of £12.65 for the hours worked. Holiday pay is provided at a rate of 12.07% of hours worked, paid in addition to the hourly rate, to reflect entitlement to statutory annual leave.
