Our Senior Software Engineers lead and mentor engineers, delivering high-value products for our customers and infrastructure that enables our business to scale. As a Senior Software Engineer on our Privacy team based in London, you'll be an early member of our growing presence in Europe. You'll partner with product management, product design, and your team to drive the discovery and development of privacy features that expand Vanta's value for its customers. You will be responsible for setting technical direction to enable our product and infrastructure to scale with our business, driving complex projects across our technical stack, and mentoring our talented engineering team. This role is remote-first; however, we expect some availability to travel to London if you live elsewhere.
What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta:
- Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact to our business
- Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth
- Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js)
- Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve their security and prove it
- Contribute to building Vanta's engineering culture as we grow
How to be successful in this role:
- Have at least 5 years of industry experience
- Have played technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects
- Have previous startup experience, or worked in an environment that prioritises a bias for action
- Have previous experience working on greenfield projects
- Have an interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space
