We're looking for a Design Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting for Vanta’s Design organization. This is a senior individual contributor role on the Technical Recruiting team. You’ll be the go‑to expert for design talent: someone who knows the market deeply, can assess portfolios with credibility, and creates the kind of candidate experience that earns a “yes” from people with options.
You’ll partner closely with our Head of Design and design leadership to shape hiring strategy, define and calibrate assessments, represent Vanta’s talent brand in the market, and close top‑tier design talent in highly competitive environments.
What you’ll do as a Design Recruiter at Vanta:
- Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through close: Drive sourcing strategy across passive and active pipelines, manage candidates end-to-end, extend offers, and close hires while delivering an excellent candidate experience from first outreach through day one.
- Build and scale proactive design talent pipelines: Develop and maintain high-quality, forward‑looking pipelines across design disciplines, ensuring strong talent is engaged ahead of hiring needs. Continuously refine sourcing strategies to improve pipeline quality and hiring velocity.
- Bring deep design recruiting expertise: Bring real craft and credibility in design recruiting. You understand the market, can evaluate portfolios thoughtfully, calibrate on level, and have substantive conversations with candidates about their work.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders: Partner closely with design leaders to shape hiring strategy, run strong kickoffs, and maintain clear communication on pipeline health and tradeoffs. Influence decisions and push back constructively when expectations aren’t aligned with market realities.
- Use data to drive strategy and outcomes: Leverage recruiting data and market insights to diagnose pipeline health, forecast risk, and inform hiring strategy. Identify patterns, improve funnel efficiency, and proactively adjust approaches to optimize both speed and quality.
- Lead and elevate hiring programs and standards: Partner with design leadership to define and evolve interview processes and assessment standards, while identifying gaps and driving improvements to recruiting systems, tooling, and workflows. Leverage AI and automation to increase efficiency and scale, and lead initiatives that strengthen candidate experience and ensure consistently high-quality hiring decisions across roles and levels.
How to be successful in this role:
- 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with significant depth in design recruiting in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments.
- Strong track record hiring exceptional design talent across multiple levels, including senior and leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of the design talent market, including portfolio evaluation, leveling, and competitive dynamics across product design and adjacent disciplines.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, through strong judgment, communication, and partnership.
- Strong closing skills and experience navigating complex, high‑stakes offer conversations with in-demand candidates.
- Experience using data and market insights to shape hiring strategy, improve processes and drive outcomes.
- Track record of leading or driving recruiting projects, programs, or process improvements that have team-wide impact.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
- Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
