We are currently recruiting for Food Production Operatives to join a busy and growing manufacturing company based in Wimbledon.
This is a temporary ongoing position, working Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for regular work for reliable candidates.
The Role
As a Food Production Operative, you will be working as part of a busy production team helping to manufacture and prepare fresh food products.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing and handling food ingredients
- Weighing and measuring ingredients accurately
- Operating basic production machinery
- Portioning, shaping and packing finished products
- Labelling and checking products
- Moving products and materials around the production area
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment
- Following food hygiene, quality and Health & Safety procedures
- Working to production targets and maintaining a consistent pace
- Supporting other areas of the production process when required
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hard-working and physically fit
- Comfortable working in a busy food production environment
- Able to work as part of a team
- Happy carrying out repetitive tasks
- Able to follow instructions and production procedures
- Health & Safety and hygiene conscious
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Previous food production or warehouse experience is an advantage, but full training can be provided
