Job Description Class 2 Day Driver – Collect & Deliver \n Vanta Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver to join their transport operation on a permanent basis. \n This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused HGV Class 2 driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work, with consistent local delivery routes and vehicles provided. The Role \n As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing local Collect & Deliver (C&D) work, collecting and delivering palletised freight to assigned locations safely and efficiently. \n You will generally operate the same vehicle and regular route, although flexibility will be required to support the wider needs of the business. \n Suitable vehicles and electric pallet trucks are provided. The role does involve some physical work when completing certain deliveries. Key Responsibilities \n \n Completing local collections and deliveries safely and efficiently. \n Following all client and pallet network processes and procedures. \n Managing your allocated delivery route and ensuring collections and deliveries are completed on time. \n Carrying out vehicle and load checks in accordance with company procedures. \n Using an electric pallet truck where required. \n Providing professional and courteous customer service at every delivery and collection. \n Reporting any issues or delays through the appropriate channels. \n Maintaining a professional appearance and representing the client positively at all times. \n Following all company and statutory Health & Safety requirements. \n Keeping Driver CPC training up to date, with required training provided and paid for by the client. \n Supporting ad-hoc distribution requirements and Roadshow activities when required. \n Working effectively both independently and as part of a wider transport team. \n Requirements \n \n Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence . \n Valid Driver CPC qualification . \n Minimum 12 months' Class 2 driving experience . \n Previous multi-drop or palletised delivery experience is desirable. \n Ability and willingness to drive vehicles ranging from 3.5t to 18t , where required. \n Good geographical knowledge and the ability to manage a delivery route independently. \n Professional and courteous approach to customer service. \n Good communication skills and a positive attitude. \n Physically capable of undertaking occasional manual handling duties. \n Reliable, flexible and safety-conscious. \n Working Hours \n \n 45 hours per week \n Monday to Friday \n Working hours between approximately 7:30am and 5:30pm \n Includes a 1-hour lunch break \n Saturday morning overtime: 7:00am–1:00pm, approximately once per month \n Salary & Benefits \n \n £33,000 – £35,000 per annum , depending on experience \n 22 days' annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays \n Saturday overtime paid additionally \n Driver CPC training provided and paid for by the client \n Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) \n Uniform provided \n Regular Monday-to-Friday work \n Full-time, permanent opportunity \n Apply Today \n If you're an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a stable local driving position with regular routes and a Monday-to-Friday schedule, Vanta Staffing would like to hear from you. \n Apply through Vanta Staffing today or contact our recruitment team for further information on 01753 257 363 Vanta Staffing are working as a Recruitment Agency for this role \n \n JBRP1_UKTJ
