Quality Assurance Supervisor - Night Shift Salary: £33,000-£35,000 per annum Working Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00pm-5:00am Location: Slough The Role Vanta Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced QA Supervisor to join a busy Technical and Quality team within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the safety and quality of products through the effective implementation of food safety and quality procedures, whilst managing the day-to-day activities of the Quality Assurance function. This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to someone with experience in Food Safety, HACCP, Quality Assurance and Auditing , who is confident taking ownership and ensuring high standards are consistently maintained. Key Responsibilities
Ensure food safety and quality objectives are consistently achieved.
Supervise and support the QA team, ensuring employees are appropriately trained and competent to carry out their responsibilities.
Ensure full traceability of raw materials and finished products throughout the production process.
Ensure all required quality and control documentation is in place for new product launches.
Attend product trials, pre-production runs and production runs as required.
Conduct regular Hygiene and Food Safety Audits alongside relevant departments and report actions to management.
Monitor audit action points and ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timescales.
Conduct internal quality system audits and support external and customer audits.
Attend customer and third-party audits when required.
Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes and report findings.
Monitor the daily safety and quality of products and communicate any defects or non-conformances to Production Management.
Liaise with the Technical team regarding changes to controlled documents.
Ensure employees understand and comply with quality policies, procedures and relevant food safety requirements.
Deliver Food Hygiene Awareness training to employees.
Coordinate product samples for microbiological testing.
Monitor product shelf life and quality standards.
Support HACCP studies for new products and work with the HACCP team to ensure controls are accurate and effective.
Ensure Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Quality Control Points (QCPs) are appropriately monitored and recorded.
Organise and collate information from product taste trials.
Collate shift paperwork, check completion and identify any non-conformances.
Report quality issues to the relevant department managers and monitor corrective actions through to completion.
Assist with the design and development of product manuals and supporting documentation.
Support effective communication of quality, food safety and company standards across the operation.
