Vanta Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Senior Lawyer (Commercial Property) to become the lead legal resource on a significant programme involving the disposal of property assets. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer to take ownership of a high-profile project, working closely with legal colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver a complex programme of asset disposals.
The Role
You will act as the principal legal resource supporting a programme of property asset disposals over the next 12–18 months. Working as part of an established Property Law team, you will report to the Senior Commercial Property Solicitor and collaborate closely with colleagues across various departments to ensure successful project delivery. The project will involve a range of property transactions, including disposals of assets that may be subject to occupational leases and matters where advice on securing vacant possession is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial property disposal matters.
- Drafting bespoke property contracts and related documentation.
- Advising on restrictions, restrictive covenants, easements and rights of way.
- Drafting and negotiating TP1s, TR1s and other transfer documentation.
- Dealing with purchaser due diligence enquiries.
- Providing clear and practical legal advice to stakeholders.
- Negotiating transaction terms and taking client instructions.
- Working closely with project leads and internal departments to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Minimum 5 years' PQE specialising in Commercial Property.
- Strong experience handling complex commercial property transactions and disposals.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider legal team.
- Experience advising on leases, vacant possession matters, covenants, easements and land transfers.
- Previous Local Government experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
