Production Planner position in Beenham, offering £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (DOE) with a temp to perm opportunity. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Vanta Staffing Reading is recruiting for a Production Planner on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Beenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination experience to join a busy and successful team with long-term career potential.
This role would suit someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys coordinating production schedules, managing workloads, and ensuring customer deadlines are met within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate and manage daily production schedules to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved.
- Allocate approved jobs to production teams and machine operators.
- Schedule work based on customer delivery requirements and production capacity.
- Monitor and manage the administration inbox, responding to production and order queries.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure jobs are completed according to the production plan.
- Identify potential production delays or issues and proactively resolve them.
- Assist the Head of Supply with stock takes when required.
- Oversee the order proofing process and highlight any artwork issues to the customer service team.
- Maintain accurate job sheets, order information and stock records.
- Previous experience as a Production Planner, Production Scheduler, Manufacturing Planner or Production Coordinator.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, production or factory environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with production teams, customer service and management.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and adjust production schedules when demand changes.
- High attention to detail when managing orders, job sheets and stock levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 – £15.00 depending on experience.
- Temp to perm opportunity with a well-established company.
- Monday to Friday working hours with an early finish on Fridays.
