Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)

Overview
We are recruiting a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join a busy site in Marlow. This is a great opportunity for someone with a proactive attitude and strong all-round maintenance skills to support the upkeep of both the building and surrounding grounds. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and professional environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building maintenance and repairs
- Complete routine inspections (communal areas, plant rooms, lighting, fire systems)
- Respond to maintenance issues quickly and efficiently
- Support planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Undertake basic plumbing, electrical, decorating, and repair work
- Maintain external areas including grounds and gardens
- Keep accurate maintenance records and report major issues
- Assist with contractor supervision and ensure H&S compliance
- Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and safety checks
- Attend site for emergency call-outs when required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
- Good all-round knowledge of trades (plumbing, carpentry, decorating, basic electrics)
- Practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
- Good communication and basic IT skills
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
