About the Role
Working within our busy workshop, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of specialist construction equipment used across the plastering, rendering, and screeding sectors. Your duties will include:
- Servicing and repairing our hire fleet of specialist construction machinery
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on customer-owned equipment
- Performing safety inspections and ensuring machinery is ready for hire
- Completing service records, inspection reports, and certification paperwork
- Providing occasional technical support and advice to customers
- Supporting site visits, breakdowns, or deliveries when required
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
You'll work closely with the Workshop Manager and experienced colleagues, with the freedom to use your expertise rather than being tied to unnecessary corporate processes.
What We're Looking For
This is a role for an experienced engineer who can work independently and confidently diagnose faults. Ideally, you'll have:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Service Engineer, or similar
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on plant, construction equipment, industrial machinery, or similar
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability
- Good organisational and communication skills
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Experience within the plant hire, construction, agricultural, or industrial equipment sectors would be highly advantageous.
