Vanta Staffing are recruiting for a 7.5T Driver / Yard Shunter to join a busy distribution operation in High Wycombe.

This is a varied role combining vehicle movements, yard operations and occasional delivery work.

Approximately 10% of the role involves driving duties, with 90% focused on yard and distribution activities.

The Role

  • Moving vehicles safely around site
  • Positioning vehicles for loading and dispatch
  • Assisting with loading and unloading operations
  • Supporting warehouse and yard activities
  • Conducting vehicle safety checks
  • Completing delivery paperwork where required
  • Maintaining high health and safety standards

Driving Duties

  • Occasional deliveries using 7.5T vehicles
  • Contacting customers approximately one hour before delivery
  • Completing a basic risk assessment before unloading
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and professionally

Requirements

  • Valid UK 7.5T Licence
  • Driver CPC Qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum 9 penalty points
  • Aged 23 or over for insurance purposes
  • Good understanding of Drivers' Hours regulations
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
  • Professional and reliable approach to work

Working Hours

Rotating Shifts

06:00 – 14:30 14:45 – 23:15

Please Note

  • This role is approximately 10% driving and 90% yard, warehouse and shunting duties
