We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Service Engineer / Service Technician to join a growing service team. This is a field-based role involving servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of customer systems, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service. You will work independently and as part of a supportive team, covering customer sites within your allocated area.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and reactive maintenance
- Diagnose and repair system faults
- Commission equipment following training
- Represent the business professionally on customer sites
- Maintain accurate service reports and records
- Use mobile devices and systems for job management
- Provide high standards of customer care
- Participate in on-call rota
- Work closely with senior engineers and management
Requirements
- Previous experience in a service, maintenance, or engineering role (preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident using smartphones, tablets, and laptops
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Good written and verbal communication
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Understanding of British Standards (desirable)
- Willingness to learn and develop

- FIA - Fire Industry Association certified
- Honeywell certificate of completion or equivalent
- A full UK Driving License

- Electrotechnical certification scheme - card to work on building sites.
- Asbestos Awareness training
- Manual Handling training
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- 1 day per week on call (you will be given notice of this)
- Overtime offered
Location: M25, London. To cover all of M25, London & home counties
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week + overtime & on-call rota
