About you

  • GCSEs or equivalent passes in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above)
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a national logistics environment with multiple weekly deliveries
  • At least 1+ year's experience managing a large transport team within a fast-paced, customer-focused operation
  • Valid Transport Managers CPC (National & International)
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation, tachographs, H&S and HACCP
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs and data analysis
  • Proficient with PC applications, particularly spreadsheets and databases; familiarity with IT software such as Stratum and CSNX is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

What you'll do

  • Lead, motivate and develop the transport team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Manage daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are efficient, legal and compliant
  • Oversee health and safety standards and promote best practice across the team
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise operational effectiveness
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including payroll and KPIs
  • Support strategic planning and continuous improvement across the transport function
