About you
- GCSEs or equivalent passes in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above)
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a national logistics environment with multiple weekly deliveries
- At least 1+ year's experience managing a large transport team within a fast-paced, customer-focused operation
- Valid Transport Managers CPC (National & International)
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation, tachographs, H&S and HACCP
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs and data analysis
- Proficient with PC applications, particularly spreadsheets and databases; familiarity with IT software such as Stratum and CSNX is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, combined with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

- Lead, motivate and develop the transport team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment
- Manage daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are efficient, legal and compliant
- Oversee health and safety standards and promote best practice across the team
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise operational effectiveness
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including payroll and KPIs
- Support strategic planning and continuous improvement across the transport function
