We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Analyst to join a leading organisation's Business Solutions team on a temporary 6+ month contract, with strong potential for extension or progression to a permanent role. This Technical Support Analyst role is ideal for someone with a background in general IT support and a particular interest in application support. You will play a key role in supporting core business systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day system performance. A strong understanding of business processes, coupled with the ability to learn new applications quickly, will be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical and application support to business users, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues
- Administer systems including user access, permissions, and ongoing maintenance
- Monitor applications, batch jobs, interfaces, and integrations to ensure optimal performance
- Analyse data outputs to ensure accuracy and identify risks or inconsistencies
- Work closely with development teams and third-party vendors to implement enhancements and resolve technical issues
- Maintain data integrity through effective data management and governance of key master data
- Accurately log and manage incidents through the helpdesk system, maintaining documentation and knowledge bases
- Support the creation of user guides and deliver end-user training where required
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending solutions
Criteria
- Experience in an Application Support role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems and applications
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) or similar business applications
- Good understanding of business processes
- Confident working with data, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support users at all levels
- Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks
